Revision history for Devel-XSCover

0.08 2026-11-06
	- A .xs_cover file in the distribution holds default options, read before the command line
	- Name the llvm flow dump's file index of an XSUB body from the XS map, where many XS files of similar shape fooled the matching by shared lines (Chandra, 30 XS files)
	- Place the decisions of an XS body in the lines gcov reports, through the XS map, so a branch after a # uncoverable line in the body is no longer reported a line late
	- Take a #line name, or a gcov source name, beside the generated C or the counter file when the top has no such file, for a test's own XS module built in a subdirectory

0.07 2026-11-04
	- Count the comment lines xsubpp drops from an XSUB body, which its #line leaves out
	- Match the top directory against the walk however File::Find spells it, an older one keeping the backslashes on Windows
	- Expect a Windows path with slashes in the tests, and copy the spike's helper C whichever way its path is spelt

0.06 2026-11-04
	- Expect the Windows switches test's path as File::Spec joins it, since Cygwin's turns a backslash into a slash
	- Write every relative file name with forward slashes on Windows, as Devel::Cover does, and compare a walked directory the way File::Find spells it
	- Run a tool through IPC::Open3 rather than a forked pipe, which Windows has not
	- End a run past its timeout by its pid where there are no process groups

0.05 2026-11-04
	- Leave a C line of nothing but braces out of the statement criterion
	- Ignore the Install/Files.pm ExtUtils::Depends generates on the Perl side

0.04 2026-11-03
	- skip pod tests when Pod::Coverage is not installed

0.03 2026-11-03
	- Read each C branch as the decision of the source from the compiler's flow graph, so a macro's inner tests no longer count as arms
	- Leave an XSUB the build compiled out, under a preprocessor condition, out of the subroutine criterion
	- Leave out a C condition with more terms than its source holds, the rest being a macro's, and one on a line with no decision
	- Run the rest of the suite without Devel::Cover under -no_perl when only plain files are named
	- Take a compiler banner that cannot be read as empty
	- Cover every Perl module of the dist in full, the report module measured under cover -test too
	- Leave the C that xsubpp wrote untouched by the touch, so the build regenerates it from the XS
	- Improve test coverage to 100%

0.02 2026-11-03
	- Hide the method put into B::Deparse from the CPAN indexer, which read it as a claim on that namespace

0.01 2026-11-03
	- First version
